Traditional Tattoo Care

You will leave the store with a wrap covering your tattoo. This is to shield it from bacteria and dust. You can remove this wrap 8 to 24 hours after its application or as soon as you get home. Don't keep it on longer than 24 hours.

For the first 48H:

  1. Wash your tattoo with cool water and antibacterial unscented soap. Make sure to clean the excess ink, blood, and plasma to avoid creating scabs.

  2. Let your tattoo air dry. If you are in a rush, you can pat it dry but please do not rub.

REPEAT THESE STEPS EVERY TIME YOUR TATTOO SECRETES THE LIQUID.

DO NOT APPLY ANY LOTION, CREAM, OR GEL AT THIS POINT.

IF A SCAB FORMS, PLEASE LET IT BE. DON’T POKE OR SCRATCH.

After the first 48H:

  1. Wash your tattoo with cool water and antibacterial unscented soap. Make sure to clean the excess ink, blood, and plasma to avoid creating scabs.

  2. Let your tattoo air dry. If you are in a rush, you can pat it dry but please do not rub.

  3. Apply a very thin layer of Recovery Glide on your tattoo only when it feels dry to keep it hydrated.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERHIDRATE THE SKIN.

Remember, uncovered tattoos can leave stains on your clothes and sheets. Don't be alarmed if you wake up to a piece of art on an unexpected canvas.

Even though after 14 days of your tattoo your skin can look completely healed, please know it is not. Continue applying moisturizer and sun protector on your tattoos for 2 to 3 months.
